Dear ÌÇÐÄvlog community,
 

Many of you may have seen reports about today¡¯s shooting at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County. Our hearts are with the students, families, and educators impacted by this tragedy, and with the entire Jeffco Public Schools community.

As educators, parents, and neighbors, we are devastated for the community of Evergreen High School. Moments like this remind us that safety, connection, and care for one another must remain at the center of everything we do in ÌÇÐÄvlog.

Students across the ÌÇÐÄvlog consistently give their all in the classroom. This academic excellence is evident once again as several ÌÇÐÄvlog students have been selected as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. 

With so many exciting things happening across ÌÇÐÄvlog, we are once again honored to welcome the local community in to experience the great work taking place in our schools. 

ÌÇÐÄvlog students continue to excel, with the latest state and national assessment results showing they consistently outperform their peers across Colorado.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog has made the decision to change this Friday, August 22, from a two-hour release due to heat to a full normal day given forecasted weather conditions. This does NOT apply to Wednesday, August 20 or Thursday, August 21, which will still be two-hour early release days. Please refer to the message that was sent on August 15 for additional information about early release days.

What a wonderful first day of school! Today, I had the privilege of visiting several campuses and was inspired by the excitement ¨C from students eager to learn, to families celebrating new beginnings, to our incredible staff welcoming everyone to classrooms across the district. The energy across our schools was inspiring.

Kim Tymkowych Named Director of Professional Learning & Educator Effectiveness

Even though school isn¡¯t in session, the hard work of ÌÇÐÄvlog students continues to be recognized. 

Four 2025 graduates were named winners of National Merit Scholarships this year, as announced by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation from April through July. These students were selected among tens of thousands of others nationwide.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog (ÌÇÐÄvlog) Board of Education has appointed Andrew Spain to fill the vacant District E seat following a vote during its special meeting on Tuesday, June 17.
